Dublin Dalkey
Dalkey is an affluent suburb of Dublin, and a seaside resort southeast of the city, and the town of Dún Laoghaire, in the historic County Dublin, Ireland. It was founded as a Viking settlement and became an active port during the Middle Ages.
Seaside residential suburb Sandymount is known for its long, breezy beach at Sandymount Strand, overlooked by a 19th-century Martello tower built for coastal defence. It’s a popular spot for fishing, kayaking, and weekend walks with views across Dublin Bay, also drawing crowds for summer swims in the Irish Sea. Inland, the village has upscale boutiques, delis, and gastropubs serving local oysters and mussels.
